Repair Materials
Road repair materials include bagged asphalt concrete and crack sealer, and deliver an excellent performance.
These are used as various asphalt repair materials.
Bagged Asphalt Concrete
  • This is a strong, high-performing, permanent road repair material.
  • High-performance polymer is used for this product, and adhesion and water resistance have been improved to provide easy workability and handling.
  • It is used for potholes and manhole covers, and can be maintained permanently.
  • No tack coating is required and can be used in all weather conditions.
Criteria for passing the asphalt concrete (cold asphalt mixture for road repair) test
Category Unit Standard Note
Stability (25¡É) N 2,500 or higher -
Flow Value 1/10mm 20 ~ 40 -
Water Immersion Residual Stability % 75 or higher -
Porosity % 3 ~ 15 -
Crack Sealer
  • Provides an excellent durability against shrinkage and weather-caused expansion of roads.
  • Responds sufficiently to road temperature changes due to the wide range of applicable temperatures.
  • Delivers an excellent impact resistance and resilience, and allows the opening of traffic after about 15 to 20 minutes of installation.
  • Used for asphalt roads, apartment parking lots, structural bonding, etc.
Performance Standard of Crack Sealer (sealing material)
Item Performance Criteria Applicable test items
Permeability Resistance Performance No water should be allowed to permeate. 4.2
Wet surface adhesion performance The base plate of the specimen should not come off within 60 seconds. 4.3
Structural behavior response performance No water should be allowed to permeate. 4.4
Underwater loss resistance performancea The mass change rate should be within -0.1%. 4.5
Chemical resistance a Acid treatment Hydrochloric acid The mass change rate should be within -0.1%. 4.6
Nitric acid
Sulfuric acid
Sodium chloride treatment
Alkali treatment
Temperature-dependent performance (heat/cold resistance) No water should be allowed to permeate. 4.7
a While there are some types of sealing materials that increase in mass by reacting with water (H2O) and chemical water to expand, this is not a factor that generally indicates performance degradation (loss in water), so only the decrease in mass is evaluated.
