Emulsified Asphalt
The emulsified asphalt for road pavement is a dark brown solution manufactured by adding special emulsifiers and stabilizers to asphalt and dispersing it into fine particles (1-3 ¥ìm) in water. This asphalt is mainly used for road pavement, and the cati onic emulsified asphalt is most widely used due to its excellent storage and adhesion performance.
Type
RS(C)-3 (Rapid Setting Cationic - 3 ) : Prime coat
This is a bitumen material sprayed to enhance the adhesion between the asphalt base layer and the sub base layer, which is a mixture of gravel and sand, and to improve the moisture and waterproof properties of the sub base layer (Amount to be sprayed: 1.0 ~ 2.0 liters/§³ based on the specifications by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport).
RS(C)-4 (Rapid Setting Cationic - 4 ) : Tack coat
This is a bitumen material sprayed on the asphalt base layer to improve the adhesion and moisture-proof and waterproof properties between the asphalt base layer and the intermediate layer or the surface layer that are laid on the prime coat (Amount to be sprayed: 0.3 ~ 0.6 liter/m©÷ based on the specifications by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport).
SS(C)-1 (Slow Setting Cationic-1) : Tack coat
It is recommendable to use SS(C)-1 in a new pavement where 24 hours of curing time can be secured after tack coat (Amount to be sprayed: 0.3 liter ~ 0.6/§³ based on the specifications by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport)
Winter Products

A-ONE Emulsion produces emulsified asphalt for the winter season by adding additives to prevent the product from freezing at -5¡ÆC to 7¡ÆC, which can slightly depend on the storage container, storage period, and climate from around November to February of the following year.

Handling Precautions
  • Avoid mixing different types of emulsified asphalt.
  • When using the product contained in a drum stored for a long time, roll or shake the drum before use.
  • When spraying is difficult due to the low temperature in the cold season, it is convenient to use it with a little heating (60¡É or less).
  • When storing the product in the winter, wrap it with a sheet, etc. to keep it warm so that it does not freeze.
